Already contacted my insurance just in case I had problems. They have a case number and an adjuster assigned in case we need it.
They said they would fix the truck if needed and I'd be out my deductible until it was all settled.
Ford is working up the estimate to provide to Progressive and it would be with a new crate drop-in engine.
Got to see if they have a skid plate to protect the filter and pan that will fit the truck
Ken

We just got word that Progressive approved the new engine for the truck and we are full-steam ahead now. Let's hope there are no problems getting the engine here and installed.

Good to hear Ken, at least you won't have to worry about that oil analysis now. LOL!

Maybe they learned that there aren't any reman 6.7s to be had? I've owned 3 diesel Fords and have not heard of anybody that re-manufactures Ford diesels.
Does anybody know whether it's possible?
Congrats on a happy ending, iceman.

I was lead to believe that there is an outfit in Vancouver BC that only rebuilds Ford Diesels under contract to Ford.
I would place this in the almost credible category being the informant was a Ford Diesel hater.

No remans available and only a couple of used ones from wrecks with over 100K miles.
