We have been hanging out in Tulsa for a month waiting to get the trailer into Kansas RV Center to get the problem addressed. This is the old NuWa plant in Chanute, KS. They reopened part of it for sales of several brands of trailer, a major repair center and also t sell the new Hitch Hikers that are being built for them to their spec by Excel, Petensen Ind.
Here are 3 photos of the left front corner right before the skin was going back on. They made splicer plates with counter sunk screw/bolt holes, Then they back the plates with plywood and Liquid Nails. Cameo used a Fiberglass batt and a hung wall design. NuWa is going back with a block foam insulation and gluing the panel back on and recaulking everything.
the same repair method has been used on several other brands of heavy trailers. The service manager said no brand was immune from this problem.
We may have the trailer back late Wednesday or Thursday a day earlier than planned.
