Tribble

We released our precious Tribble from her pain this morning. Our hearts are broken, but she was having more bad days than good. The past week has been really difficult so we just made the decision to let her go.

Sorry that you lost this dear family member.

Might I suggest you consider picking up this book? It has helped others and will likely help you as well.

p.s. There is nothing political in this book.

Believe me I can feel your pain and I'm sure many others are in the same position. These creatures fill our lives with love and joy and companionship for many years then when its time to send them to the Rainbow Bridge our hearts are heavy with grief and sorrow. But in my case I feel the years of loyalty, love and companionship I've received from my pets far outweigh the sorrow I experience when it's time to let go. Live with the memories but don't rule out the possibility of owning another dog as they are truly God's gift to mankind. I'm very sorry for your loss..

I had a aunt. She was an old maid. She finally got a talking bird in her forties. She spent every night talking to the parrot. After a few years the bird died. She was heartbroken of course. She said she would never have another pet. The pain of death was too much. I thought that was sad. We have had dozens of cats and dogs during our marriage. All but the two cats we now have died. We have grieved for all of them, but the love we felt and was returned from them, have been worth every tear.

I recently had my dog put down last month. She had been blind for two years and lost quite a few teeth. When her hind quarters started to go on her, I put her down. I buried her in my backyard. One really can not talk with them, so we don't know how much pain there are in, all we can do is use our best judgment, and I hope I will leave as gracefully,

Having said that, she was such a good dog, I feel she earned the right for another to take her place. I won't do that for awhile, but at some point I will get another dog, but I have a different breed in mind, but still on the small size.

On the other hand, my two children have earned the right to be ignored and forgotten.

I lost my little boy Spencer in early August of this year and the hole only gets bigger for me. He was such a unique and different character than any of my girls, its very hard.

My co-worker found a maltese/poodle puppy that she thought was injured in the median of a double laned busy artery here in Arlington, TX and she is now at my house with the three girls while we search for the owner. No tags, no collar, no chip. I hope and pray the owner is ok and that the owner finds our notices of found pup.

Anyway, back to Spencer, and loss, it is always a horrible life experience to tend to, I just dread it, but the life each of my kids had was hopefully better than they or I ever expected it to be for them/me.

So sorry for your loss Rodger. It's so hard.

:(

Jurhee, it is so sad to have a loved fur-critter leave you. Remember Tribble for all of the good times you had. Abby is our schnauzer number 5 and all of the others are remembers for their unique personalities and traits. Loosing a per never gets any easier.

Jurhee and Jerry, I had just had some "quality time" with Dolly, threw her stuffed toy for her a few times, when I came in and got on line and read this sad news. It was great meeting you all this past weekend and I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I could say something that would make it all better, but we all know only time will do that. You all will be in my thoughts and prayers tonight.

It's never easy to make the decision. Sometimes, I think making the decision or hearing from the vet that it is time, is harder than having the act done. Rest in peace little pup.
