Hello All,

Well, the camper show bug has bit and bit hard. My wife and I found the new Rockwood HW series there. We really like the idea of a high wall because of the added convienience and features. Also like the idea of the slide out. The Rockwood HW seems quite a bit above even the Fleetwood model we looked at.

Does anyone here have experience or opinions of Rockwoods in general, or specificially their HW model. We currently use a Viking and are happy with the quality. But Viking does not offer a high wall. The Starcraft is too pricey and the Jayco is, well, ugly. We would really appreciate your opinions.

The Rockwood comes with all the bells, plus a.c, bike carrier, add a room / awning and all the other goodies. Show special is $10,700. He is offering $5000.00 for our Viking on trade. I am at the mercy of you knowledge. Thanks for the help everyone.

Although I can't comment on the quality of the Rockwood trailers, I did see the new Rockwood HW series trailer with slide out at the recent Toronto RV show. I was very impressed with the trailer and was amazed with the amount of head room you had when inside the trailer. I'm 6 foot 1 and I had a good 15 to 18 inches of space above my head. I only have a couple of comments on the HS trailers. One, I would not to have to load bikes onto a roof rack installed on the roof of this trailer. I figured I would need a ladder to reach the top of the roof when it is down in order to get the bikes into the bike racks. Second, I would be very concerned with the tow rating of my TV. IIRC this trailer is rate at 4,000 lbs. You will definitely need an SUV or a pickup truck to be able to tow it.
