Talking how to disassemble a niagara roof?

Hi all, I have a 99 model Coleman Niagara with the famous ABS roof sag. I have a plan to build a roof rack to pull it back into shape but don't want to bolt all the way threw if possible. I'm assuming that there is a inner shell and outer shell to this roof system ? If so, what steps do I need to take to get inner (ceiling) shell dropped down to allow access to the bottom side of the roof shell ? My thinking is to raise the whole top, get inside camper and start undoing inner shell, drop inner down allowing access to bottom of roof. Is that doable ? Any advice would be appropriated. Sounds like a good plan but have no idea of what I'm getting into. Thanks again.

First off did your roof have the "brace".

We had a 99' Coleman pup that had the brace and never had a birdbath problem. The brace ran from side to side and was about 2" square tubing.

If I can remember right. They (Coleman) starting adding the brace on the 12' box models in Sept of 09' and the 10' box models a few months later. The built date is usually on the right side of the pup as a silverish / gray sticker. So some of the early model year 09's didn't get the brace. Had a friend who had the Niagara and the they replaced the roof twice, the third time the dealer bought the pup back.....

What you are thinking of doing might work, but somehow our going to have the make a brace to hold it in shape. Again, if I remember the brace bolts did not go all the way thru.
