Mattresses

Hey! We just added a teardrop to our family for quick trips like festivals, etc. where we can’t fit the motorhome. Took it out for the first time and the pads they have in there not a good mattress make! I’m not sure if a regular queen mattress will fit, so I’ve been looking at memory foam toppers and there are so many! The original owners had put a 3-4” memory foam and it was mushy and heavy. We want something thinner. All sorts of options out there—I think we want high density foam, but what about latex?

Thanks!
Monica

Not sure what you have but there is a a special sized queen that goes in many RV's that is called (brace yourself) a short queen and takes special sheets blah blah. Back in my trailer days I bought something like this
https://www.amazon.com/Zinus-Spring-...4-dc28e6d374b3

The best part is you can get that box in easier and unpack and viola, better bed.

Regarding your mattress query, I would recommend you contact the folks at Mattress Insider (see link below). My wife and I own a LittleGuy MiniMax Teardrop that we have modified into a permanent twin bed setup. The shape of the twin beds is quirky. We were looking for a good mattress topper that would fit the shape. I realize this is not the same as your problem, but the good folks at Mattress Insider really worked with us to identify, design, and build a good solution. Couldn't be happier with the quality, cost, and fit. Highly recommend you call them and see if they can help you out.

Good luck & safe travels
Dan

We use roll up camping memory foam pads in ours. They roll up during the day and have washable covers. Very comfortable over the cushions. They come in different widths and lengths. https://amzn.to/37TP17O
