Rockwood Freedom 1950 - Issues

Hi all,

I just got this 2002 model and took it out for the fist time this past weekend. I noticed a couple of problems. I firmly believe in learning from those with experience, so please offer anything you may like.

First: when I filled the water tank, it was leaking where the tube connects, looks like a crack or bad connection. I tried tightening the hose clamp, but still was steadily dripping. I'll remove the clamp and trim and try it again.

Second: 12v system wasn't working. The fuse looked ok, but I'll have to put the meter on it tonight. (Is there anything else I should look for?)

Third: the icebox was useless; I picked up a 3-way frige and will install it ASAP. (Any words of wisdom?)

Fourth: small leak in the rear of the water tank. The previous owner said it was fixed, but it was dripping after I filled the tank. Looks like someone tried gluing it, but didn't succeed. Also some rust on the axel where the water was running down. (what's the best way to repair this? Will the rust cause any problems on the axel?)

Obviously this is my first Popup and I have a lot to learn. Anyone that can offer words of advise are most welcomed!
