an on-on switch, like waiter said is a 3way, two switch's to control one light, power in the center tab of the 1st switch, connect the two outer tabs of the 1st switch to the two outer tabs on the 2nd switch, then the center tab of the 2nd goes to your lights, a switch by each door and presto! or I used it for the back up lights on my trailer, lights on center tab, one outer tab to back up light wire from Rv the other outer tab to my 12v battery on the trailer, so in one direction its a back up light the other way I can turn it on for loading or unloading even if its not hooked up

there are three spades on the back...I'm assuming
the center is power in and the ends are power out

the only problem I see is the lower spades will be hot when the lights are off .. correct????

Very good.. yes you got it right

IF you are worried about the lower spade you can simply pick up a bunch of INSULATED connecors that push onto that spade and push on..Without any wire. That will insulate them

or a tube of GOOP and GOOP them.
