1986 Vogue Vogue II battery

I have a 1986 Vogue Vogue II motor home and I need to replace the battery. Currently it has a NAPA 8D commercial battery that I want to replace with a deep cycle battery. Any suggestions?

Is the battery for the engine or the RV portion?

Trojan makes their deep cycles in the 8D size. West Marines house brand includes an 8D AGM. There are others well.

Pick up , GC2, 6 volt Golf Cart batteries and wire them in series. You will need a short jumper cable.

Save money and your back, trying to move the 8 D's around.

Good advice from twinboat. There is nothing special about an 8D battery - it's just a big package that is equivalent a multiple smaller case-size batteries. A typical 8D stores about 240 amp-hours, roughly the same as two of those GC2 6v's or a pair of Group 31 12v batteries.
