1994 F53 Thor Ambassador Cruise Control

Hello everyone, i recently purchased a 1994 F53 Thor ambassador and I cannot get power to my on off button for cruise control. I have been through tons of forums and I have used the wiring diagrams and pin test forms. From what I can tell, the brake pressure switch is good (it has the recall harness and the fuses are good) and the brake indicator switch is good. I used a voltmeter and 12v tester to test everything. I checked the servo harness as well. I have power to the servo (pin 7) and pin 4 and 9 (brakes switches) are also working properly when brakes are applied. I know that the slip rings in the steering wheel are good, I even tested the pins that make contact with the rings just to see if it was a slip ring issue. I was able to get power in the steering wheel when I jumped pin 7 to pin 5 at the servo harness. I swapped out the servo with a new one and that wasn't it. So I'm really confused now because I have power to the servo and the brake switches work, but do not have power at the steering wheel. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

if I were you I would just replace both the master cylinder switch and the brake pedal switch. They are not expensive, its easy to do, You might just luck out.
When i got my 2001 E450 my crusie didn't work. Everything seemed to check out ok. I changed them both out at the same time, and the cruise started to work. For the $50 you might spend on parts it will be nice to know if you have to still investigate what's wrong that those 2 vital parts are good.

Ford had a recall for a cruise control wiring harness for its early to mid 90's F53 chassis. You might want to call your local Ford dealer with your VIN and ask about it.

Thanks for the advice, but the harness for the recall is installed and working properly. But as kwftlaud said, I may swap it out just to completely rule it out.

Just an update, I'm thinking that the power that goes to the switch on the steering wheel comes from somewhere other than the servo. So now I'm tracing the power line from the on off switch trying to find where the power comes from. When looking at the wire diagram the multifunction switch is on the diagram and I know that is a little finicky. So I'm wondering if power is tied in with that? I'll keep tracing the lines and let you all know what I find. Thanks!
