I have an Oshkosh chassis. I must go to Freightliner to get chassis parts.

It later became Freightliner XC. I have a Safe-T-Plus on my 1993 Oshkosh DP. These are not Freightliner parts; Freightliner does maintain resources to identify and sometimes supplies chassis part.

Those won't be Freightliner parts, but Freightliner can probably give you original manufacturer part numbers that can be cross-referenced to new parts. I've recently replaced brakes, a belt and a radiator hose; the only Freightliner part was the hose. You give them the last six (I think) digits of your VIN and they can look up numbers.

The transmission is repaired by Allison distributors/authorized dealers (no shadetree types) and the engine is done by Cummins shops. Of course there are other qualified other shops but unless you know them best to start at the manufacturers shops.

If this RV is new to you, first have the oil, oil fiter and fuel filters changed AND AIR FILTER, then have the transmission filters changed and change out the fluid to Allison Transynd.

Air filters are date-coded, should be changed every year or so, and are degraded by moisture. Never depend on any restriction indicator.

I just posted a link to a large files section for old chassis manuals in the General Information forum, couldn''t get it to add to the files section.
