1996 Onan Marquis 5500

Does anyone have test procedures for testing voltage regulator or where I can find them for my onan.
I've already checked the slip rings and brushes.
There is no power at the breakers on the Gen set so I'm thinking is the vroom.
Unless someone has another idea.
If I don't fix this winter I will bring to a shop in the spring as the rv won't be insured until spring.
I would like to use as guest house over the winter.

Using this troubleshooting guide I was able to diagnose my Onan problem as a bad voltage regulator, (and fix it myself): https://www.flightsystems.com/pdf/on...oing-guide.pdf

Good luck with yours.

Just type it in. Flight systems are the people for trouble shooting. Don't waste your time at onan. They also have an e-mail question area. They were very helpful for help when I needed it. AND their parts are better.

Sorry about that.
Try here https://www.flightsystems.com/troubleshooting/ then click on "Troubleshooting Guide"... (under Onan Generators).
