2006 Bounder - Water Pump ( potable ) not working

My water pump no loner seems to be working ( i.e. I turn on the switch and it lights up, but no water is pumping).

I have checked the obvious things that I know to do
  1. I looked at the fresh water tank, it is half full.
  2. The switch is lit so I know they have power to the switch.
  3. when hooked to a water faucet water flows.
In all honesty, I do not know where the water pump is to check it in itself.

Any tips on this will be appreciated.

it is hard to find with out the sound the pump makes when running

only way you well know whats wrong is to find it

see if power is getting to the pump

if power is going in then out of the 45 psi switch to give power to the motor its self

all so i am sure some may have info on if you did the winter / valves set the wrong way and the pump / on that side of the system is holding 45 psi so the pump never comes on .. but i would not think this is it

some one i am sure well come and have the info we need on ?wheres the pump guys ?

Not sure where it it located on your bounded, on my PA it is in the compartment to the left of the door. It sounds like it gave up. I had to replace one 2 years ago due to the same reason. Just stopped working. If you need to replace it it is pretty simple process, biggest thing for me was getting to it.
One more test, release all Preassure from system... I usually flush my toilet until it stops running with the switch off. Then turn the switch on, the pump should start to set Preassure to the system. If it doesn't it needs to go and be replaced.
Before you pull it out make sure you have power to it with a meter

Hi drakethib,
I do not know Bounder. In addition to what has been posted. Consider finding the main 12 VDC fuse block and make sure the fuse for the pump is good. Then you'll need to find the pump. Determine if you have 12 VDC to the pump. Also determine if the ground side of the pump does indeed have a good ground. On my coaches the pump has always been located near or in the water utility bay. They have been very near the water tank and near the bottom of the tank. On my current coach one needs a flash light to see the pump. If you have power to the pump and the pump does not work, the pump needs to be replaced.

On our Bounder (same year as yours) it's in the 1st bay aft the entry door, up on a shelf towards the back of the bay to the right of the fresh water tank.

When in Doubt

Call Fleetwood with your FIN. They can probably tell you exactly where it is and how to get at it.

On our 34H the pump is just above the wet bay connections panel and it looks like one has to remove that panel to get at it.

But as a previous poster said, check the fuse first. If the pump doesn't try to run that's the #1 cause. #2 would be the pressure switch - on the pump.

If the pump runs and delivers water :
1. clogged water filter.
2. lost prime due to air in the lines before the pump.
3. check your fill valve. Leaving it in the fill position is a bad thing.

Good Luck!

Put your model # in your signature please. You'll get better answers.
