2024 or 2025 Entegra Anthem Cornerstone or used 2019 King Air

We are planning to sell or trade-in our 2015 Entegra Anthem to get 2024 or 2025 Anthem or Cornerstone. I have looked at both 2024 and 2025 models and it appears Entegra has cut corners in quality, appearance, workmanship, and finish and it looks cheaply made compared to Newmar. We have found a 2019 Newmar King Aire with 43K miles that appears it have been kept very good for $489K. Do you think we should pursue a 2024 or 2025 Entegra Anthem or Cornerstone or the 2019 King Aire? We plan to keep the coach for 3 to 5 years. What do you think we should do? We value your opinion. Thanks

No mention of the Anthem or Cstone price. A new KA is now over $1m. They way I read between the lines of your post, you don't want to go up only in years on the, but down in quality of the Entegra build

The King Aire will have all of the bugs worked out plus the fact that the coach is only new until you drive off the lot. I think the Newmar is the way to go.

Have a 2012 King Aire that I love but lately is giving me grief. Yes being 12 years old some items will age out.

I am considering going with a 15 to 20 year old Prevost for the easy to find service shops. Many tour bus companies and Volvo truck shops will work on them but not Newmar, Tiffin, etc. Prevost coaches are commonly refurbished and look better than new with a much larger service network.

Had a radiator hose that ran from coach radiator to Oasis split. Sure easy to cut the hose back and splice in a patch. But how to remove and replace all 12 year old hose?
Nearly impossible. That was my issue in May 2024. Then 3 weeks ago radiator developed a leak. Took a heavy truck repair shop 2 and a half days to get the bad radiator out. Now waiting to see if it can be fixed OR if Spartan can get one to me. Currently backordered 3 weeks.

Just my viewpoint, a bit cranky. Sorry.

In the end of 3 or 5 years you will not lose as much value as you would new.
Most of the bugs should be worked out but there are still going to be things that break. I know of 2 KA's that AC's stopped working. I rebooted the RV-C network and got their AC's back in one KA, but didn't think of that when I looked at the other one that had the problem. Of course all brands and models will have some problems.

Why buy new with that observation? With the 2019 your saving yourself the aggravation of warranty fixes, the time it takes, and you know there will be a lot.

Go with the King Aire and burn some diesel...

Id be hard pressed to spend that amount of money on a new RV that my main impression is of the cheaper quality, workmanship and finish. Those concerns wont get any better. More than likely, you find more disappointments as you use the RV.

Newmar gets my vote

I was always and avid enthusiast of buying the new motor home to get all the new features. After owning 7 new motor homes over the last 35 years I can now say buying a thoroughly inspected used unit is the way to go. My recent purchase of 2 new units within the past 6 years convinces me the quality of the components and the build just isn't there anymore regardless of the brand.
Definitely buy the used one!

I’ve owned a 2013 Entegra Aspire, a 2014 Anthem, now a 2021 Newmar DutchStar. IMHO the 2019 King Air is 3 times better than the current model Anthems, and as others pointed out, the depreciation is already done. The mileage is irrelevant in one way (about wear), but in other ways is highly relevant, meaning it’s been run and well broke in.

Bigger motor, active air chassis, high quality

Buy the King Aire
