FWIW, the first week of Sep. a friend had the LF tire fail, his MH swerved across the dotted line into the left lane enough so the passing semi locked up his brakes to avoid hitting him. This caused him to jackknife the rig and slammed the trailer into the side of the MH. Body damage from steer tire to rear cap on left side. His Ins. company wanted to total the 2014 DP MH but he and his DW objected.
He said his Michelins were 5 yrs old with minimal cracks.

To be clear my Michelins have ZERO cracking….unless it’s on the inside of the tire???

How old was it? I retired with over 30 years in tire production but I'd say that bubble looks like it was caused by trapped moisture, most likely a factory defect. I have seen this many times. My concern is its location. That's where the sidewall edge is.

Holy Cow!

The question was about how hard is the 365 tire to obtain on the road. The 2nd poster said he had a blowout but did not state the tire was a Michelin.

Yet the subsequent readers did not take the time to read the initial or 2nd post before embarking on a trash Michelin thread.

Sigh.

If you need a 365 Michelin tire, call Dave Ward at National Tire Concierge Services.

We should point out that this is an old thread ...it's over a year old. I'm not sure if it's still the case but 1) the 365/70R22.5 was a Michelin proprietary size and was exclusive to Michelin with no equivalent size produced by other manufacturers, and 2) at one time, they were VERY hard to find if not impossible to get one.

I'm not sure if that's still the case or not.

eta:

I also think "trashing" Michelin threads are welcomed to an extent as it's a push-back of sorts to those who claim that Michelin is the ONLY safe tire to put on a motorhome and many here say that "I won't put my family and others on the road at risk by putting anything but Michelin on my motorhome" ...yes, we've had several here say that. Michelin tires are not perfect ---not by any means and is one of the reasons why I personally don't wish to pay the premium price they command.
