When I bought I never heard of "Aggressive Tow/Haul" option.

My mistake. That appears to be a diesel-only option. I sent a query to 5 Star to confirm.

It's a hassle because 5 Star does not make the tuner itself so a potential customer has to try and figure out what they are getting by going to 5 Star and SCT both.

As an aside, I found this post on a different forum fascinating about how 5 Star actually works: https://www.thorforums.com/forums/f1...ing-18086.html

I'm not educated enough to decide the validity of the author's conclusions but it does answer some questions I had, hopefully accurately.

I did the 5 Star 87 tune and noticed a decent difference in throttle response from a stop light was much improved and highway driving. MPG stayed about the same at 7mpg on avg. I didn't like it hanging 2nd gear longer than needed, same with 3rd but we traded the rig in before I could work out adjustments.

I think if you keep the rig long term, it's worth the money. Drive it when you add the tune and then work with them to make changes to how you want it to drive in town etc... they re very helpful.

Not until you tell us what happened and what did not happen.
