Really any low pressure f/p will work.. need around 5psi.. I got off brand just like onan . Off Amazon .. but I do not like how it is made .. or where it's made .. that said.. it has worked flawlessly for 2ys.. but I am ordering online an USA made Carter brand low pressure and keeping as back up.. my gen is 22yrs old.. only 254hrs.. watch out.. if you want USA made Carter.. there are several different models.. most made somewhere else.. look closely at place of manufacturing..
Good luck and keep us posted..

Oh.. if over 10yrs old.. time to replace as much fuel line as you can.. cause of added alcohol.. old lines brake down.. inside.. I also moved my pump.. to more convenient location.. and replace filter..
Good luck and keep us posted

I've used many of the cheap pumps from Amazon on everything from my sawmill, log splitter, tractors, to vehicles . So far I haven't had a failure. I installed a used one on my Onan 6 yrs ago and it still works fine.
I did have a good Carter pump on my backup diesel genset , and it failed after 6 years. So much for made in USA quality.

I bought one off Amazon. The install is very straight-forward except for it being pretty tight in there. The new pump works fine.

Fuel pump failed in our previous motor home and Onan had no stock available at the time and said backorder was 2 months out. So I found the Amazon Knock-off, it worked great and it was so inexpensive I ordered another to carry as a spare should it fail at a bad time.

Did the exact same thing. No problems so far with the replacement but if it does carp out, I already have a $25 back up ready to install. This on a 4000 Onan...

I ordered one on Amazon for our Itasca generator. It was an Airtex brand which is the OEM for the Onan generators.

A lot of choices out there.

This is probably the lowest price you might find.
The OEM pump for my ONAN 5500 is Airtex E11015

I replaced my 17yo ONAN pump a few years ago w/ AMAZON, cured issues and does great, $25 range at the time vs OEM at $100+.
