7500 Onan kinked radiator hose

Serviced my 7500wat Onan generator to day and all went well until I tried to replace the coolant. Those who have done their own service know that the radiator pressure cap and filler hose are beneath the 3 1/2" square plate next to the start switch. When this plate is removed , it allows you to pull the cap and fill hose out thru the opening. The hose is S shaped about 2' long and collapses on itself to allow you to pull it in and out. ( The description is for those who may not know what is behind the plate )

I spilled half a gal of coolant trying to get it to go down the hose. After investigating with a flash light, I saw that the hose was pinched closed at both elbows in the hose. In order to access the hose I had to pull about 25 small bolts holding the top of the gen cover on. ( Do not remove the cover on the front of the gen) I cut two sleeves about 3" long from a slightly larger reinforced rubber hose and after lubing them, sloped them over the kinked elbows. That solved the problem....no more inked hose. Note : a drill and 10 m socket removes the cover quickly.
Full time since Nov 2012 RVM#41 Gary and Marian Hill 2001 Monaco Dynasty Jack 38' 370 hp ....If it ain't broke I can still fix it.
Like putting shoes on an octopuss, so are the days of our lives....
