My heater quit on my last trip. I checked under the dash and found the larger vacuum line from the vacuum reservoir had fallen off (what looks like)a small solienoid with two nipples and a larger brass (color) valve with one nipple. the main line from the reservoir is a 't' and I cannot figure out which of the 3 sources that i can hook two ends of the vacuum line to. If you can figure out what I'm trying to describe let me know. Thanks, Mike

While awaiting a reply for this post I discovered a website that pretty well answered my questions about this system:http://www.acmeair.com/acme_airconditioning.htm

In addition to checking out that web site, I found the wire to a small vacuum pump had slipped off the connector. Replacing that small red wire fixed my problem, which was that all air was going only to the defrost vents.
