When we used our Dish-Net satellite antenna, I had to run the cable through the window and hook it up to the receiver. There had to be a more convenient way...

After our last road trip I decided to add an external antenna jack outside. I installed a cable jack just in front of the front wheel well, I ran the cable to the inside of the Mirada, up between the walls and into the entertainment compartment where the receiver was. Now all I need to do is hook the dish up to that antenna jack, point the dish and we're good to go.

No more open windows, no more running the coax across the floor, etc.

nice, I have the exact Antenna, along with a secondary KingTailgater2 - I ran my coaxs from my receivers down thru the coach and into the wetbay, where I then bring the Antenna cables thru the floor plate hole and into the bay to connect to the internal coaxs.

The ability to think outside the box is nice to have, (especially for RVers).

Running the cable through a window gets old quickly and looks "tacky". On my Itasca I had an outside lead to hook up an exterior TV (no mount or anything like that, just a lead). I rewired it so it is now the connection point for my portable dish.

Like Waiter21, i drilled a hole up by the front right wheel well and ran the cable up into the coach under the dash. Then under the windshield molding up to the entertainment compartment. Everything hidden and you don't even know it's there. Difference is that i didn't mount a jack outside. The cable has about a foot and a half play which is just right for snaking into one of the coach's crossmembers. Stays out of the way, doesn't get wet or dirty, and is very easy to use.
