Amp L Start equivalent?

Amp L Start not available anywhere. Want to charge my gas coach chassis battery while plugged into shore power. Is there a similar product to Amp L Start. Company ISL that made Amp L Start appears to be gone…

I bought the Amp-L-Start the first time and it failed early on. I went with the Magnum combiner and it worked flawlessly.

Both were made by LSL Products of San Antonio. LSL is no longer in business and both products haven't been available for some time now.

I've used both Trik-L-Start and Amp-L-Start in several coaches and they worked well and did so for as long as I owned the coaches. One thing that will be missed is their excellent price and good support back in the day. The owner's name was Joel Donaldson and he always wrote back quickly whenever I'd send him an email asking a question.

Winnebago used them for a short time as OE in some of their pushers.

ETA: I'm not sure if they're out of business or not but from all that I can gather, they're not being made. I remember reading "something" about Mr. Donaldson but I can't remember now what it was. I'll look around and see if I can confirm anything.

Here's another thread from back in September: trik-l-start no longer available ?

Wellllll, this sucks!
This thread is probably gonna jinx me. I've had a good working Amp-L-start for several years now and it will probably quit tomorrow!! I'll go out and pet it and talk nice to it and maybe it will hang around and keep working longer.

Thor uses a Precision Circuits battery isolation manager (BIM 160) on my 2017 Axis 25.5. It charges the engine battery on shore power power. It will also charge the coach batteries, while the engine is running. The BIM can be wired with a switch to act as an emergency engine stater by combining the batteries together.

I used a Xantrex Echo Charge when the built-in chassis charge manager (Intellitec BCC) failed in my coach. It worked fine for years.
