Another Hot Water Story.
This is our third winter in our Pace Arrow, we haven't spent anywhere it has gotten as cold as it has here the past 2 or 3 days. Taking a shower with a 6 gal how heater has always been a challenge, but with water hot enough to burn you, have never ran out. Today, barely got the shampoo out of my hair when the hot water starting getting cool. Turned the cold valve closed and opened the hot water valve a little more. DW waited for awhile before she took hers and the same thing happened. I am guessing the water in the hose is getting colder and it just cools the shower off quicker. Turn the kitchen h/w faucet on a while ago and it seems like it's as hot as always. Any suggestions, wind is hitting rig on the h/w heater side, so guessing that ain't helping, either..

Being from Canada I can honestly say that heat tape works wonders.

Joe.....Use the water from your water tank to take your shower. The water will be warmer . You'll just have to refill your tank every few days.
Do you have the electric option on your water heater....if so, run the propane and electric at the same time.

Do you have outside shower that you use recently may have a faucet open and the shower shut off but cold water will mix with your hot if faucets left open.

If your coach doesn't have the 120V option on the water heater you might want to look into a "Hot Rod".

I can't use my water tank, as the plumbing on this rig don't work like it's suppose to. I have to disconnect the pump and connect the hose in it place, some one replumbed this rig and I can either do it the way I am or fill the tank every couple of days and use it. Don't have the patients to take it a part or the money to pay someone to do it. If it stays cold, might have to disconnect the pump and fill the tank. Cold showers suck...LOL especially at my age...LOL

Since June I have been using my indoor shower for showers, Back then having enough hot water was not an issue, it came out of the ground warm enough {sad grin} but now that it is cooling,, I still do not run out.
OF course one thing that helps is that handy dandy quarter turn valve I got at the home improvement store.. Wet down slow flow to a drip, soap up, open valve and rinse off.

I hear that, got a shut off valve on the shower head, will most likely be using it from now on, hopefully it warms back up next week. Told the DW that she needs to start taking her shower in the afternoon after the sun has shined on the hose for a while...LOL

I have 2 ways to get hot water, propane or the heat from the 454 anti-freeze. ( I mean really hot water from the engine) There is a heater in the rear that works the same way.
I had one heck of a time trying to find the correct plumbing parts to get the ptrap on the shower re-hooked up. Now that it is in the single digits outside I haven't got it hooked back up.
Was/is this type heating just used a few years? I never knew there was this type of heating in a MH? What a great idea I think is it still used I haven't seen anything written about it.
it's a 82
