Any advice on buying rv furniture?

Plan to replace a sofa with a bifold or trifold sleeper...

Any recommended brands, sellers, websites?

I assume these all disassemble and fit through the rv entrance, correct?

How hard is it to mount these things to the floor?

How hard is it to move seatbelts around?

Any good sources for used furniture?

Any rationale to just going to the furniture store and buying one, and installing? Only issue I see, is the home units don’t usually disassemble, so getting into and RV may be an issue?

You can start here https://shop4seats.com

We bought a recliner sofa from them 4 years ago and it still looks like new, very good quality.

Like their selection, how much was shipping? Some of the other sites have free shipping...

Don't remember exactly but it seems it was under $250. Call them they will give you an estimate, they were easy to deal with.

My advice is do not buy "RV" furniture. Go to any furniture store, just be sure what ever you buy will fit in the door.

In my MH I built a custom expanding couch, based on one I saw online. This after my wife insisted I throw out the old click clack couch sleeper. About 2 years later I saw where someone had replaced there couch with a $400.00 couch/sleeper from Ikea! I had at least $400.00 and a lot of work in the one I built! So while it might not be the very best quality you might want to give them a look. You could also look for a self contained air mattress to put on top of it. If I could have a do over, that is the way I would go.

We recently replaced our jack knife sofa with theatre seating which we bought from Bradd & Hall. This is what we bought and are very happy with them.

I've purchased a couch and a couple of wood furniture items from the and they are an excellent company. They are also very helpful and their installation fee was quite reasonable. If you can, it's worth going to their showroom to see and tryout the different chairs and couches that they carry. For us, we can drive there in one day, so it's not a problem.

Buying non RV chairs/sofas can work, but you have to be sure that you can get it through your door. A lot of recliners have removeable backs, but couches and sofa beds can be a problem. And, sofa beds can be pretty heavy.

We went with Bradd & Hall who also did the installation. They removed the couch we were replacing, bolted the new seating to the floor and had arranged the seat belts properly. Their supplier for furniture is an Amish company. They only use American foam and highest quality coverings. I highly recommend visiting B&H showroom in Elkhart if you can. If I had one regret it was not purchasing the electric reclining package. The manual is just fine but the electric is awesome!

Check out RecPro.com. Furniture for RVs, boats, etc. We have purchased several times from them and very happy. Waiting for new tri-fold couch as I write this. All their units fit through through a 22" or larger door because the backs come off, and are easily locked back on; no bolts, etc.

I just installed a sleeper sofa from RecPro.com and I am happy. They shipped quickly. The sofa had slight damage in the back corner out of sight and I was able to fix it. They no questions asked gave me 20% off my purchase. When you go to the site you can sign up and get 5% off your purchase too. There are some pics of it installed in my coach on my rebuild thread in my signature.
