Anything new in the WiFi temp alert world

Iíve searched and read a couple of threads about WiFi enabled high temperature alerts but they were a little old. Iím wondering if there is any feedback on newer models. I donít want a monthly subscription or anything like that as we wonít use it that often. We just want to be able to leave our dog and know he is safe if something happens to the AC.

There's Sonoff. Less than $15 you can monitor temperature and humidity. WIFI to a smartphone app. I use one to monitor the wet bay temperature and turn a heater on during the winter.
