AquaHot systems

I am sure this has been discussed before, but I have a question that I can't find the exact answers. I have an Aquahot 600. There are 4 buttons as shown in the attached photo. How do you guys use the fan feature? Does the temperature dictate which side you use (110v or diesel)?Click image for larger version

The Aqua Hot "electric" button uses your shore power as a heat source. The "Hi" setting activates the second electric heating element. The KW raring of the element depends on the exact model. The "Diesel" push buttton uses diesel fuel as a heat source insted of electric. The fourth switch controls the speed of the fans behide the heater cores - push this with the fans operating and it will be obvious.
Hope this helps.
Make/model of your coach would help.

Should the fan switch work on shore power? I'm asking, because we are expecting cold weather the next few nights and can't go south!

We have a 2007 Beaver Patriot Thunder. I'm sure the operation is the same even if the words as slightly different.
You should have two 2000 watt heating elements in the Aqua Hot.
I have the OwnersManual and service manual. PM me if you need/want them.

Follow up to my follow-up. Should I have a diesel smell when the furnaces are running?

Where does the exhaust exit? Depending on the wind you can get exhaust odor through windows or slide seals that leak. If it is smoking you may need a tune up, new nozzle & cleaning which is fairly simple.

Diesel fuel odor should be non-existant unless there is a leak at the filter, fuel line or in the AH unit. The only place fuel is not in a sealed line is at the burner nozzle. I suppose a dripping nozzle could smell.

The whole system is 12 volt (except the electric heating elements) so you do not need shore power when using the diesel burner.

AH Low works on any shore power while AH High works with 50 amp shore power. As stated High powers the second element.

I use the fan in HI to warm the coach initially but if I can keep the coach warm in Low or Medium it is less noise.

I put my coffee cup in front of the blower to pre-heat it when dry camping on cold mornings.

I appreciate the help. I plan to look at the system tomorrow. Currently we are using shore power to heat the coach.
