Are we all equal

Wondering
I been in car clubs .
owned big and small boats own an American iron horse bike.
And now a class A MOTORHOME

In the past I have noticed some people stick together
ie:
Corvettes stick with models
Like c1 c2 c3 and so on

Chevy stick together from Ford and others

Boats big stay with big boats

Harley sticks with harley

Cruiser from crotch rocket

Tuner car from muscle car

How about the mh bunch

Reason.

Went to Wal-Mart today and there where 10 to 15 mh in the lot
A's in one spot C's in another, bumper pull scattered. Big trailers where with the A's small ones with C's.

I know this does not go for everyone as i tend to mix it with all and everyone.

Just wondering if this bunch might be different

Wishful thinking. In every endeavor in which I have been involved, aviation, boating, rv's, and even Corvettes. there are always the snobs who feel good by the mine is bigger, better, newer than yours mentality.

Birds of a feather Flock together........human nature

I have always tended to be the 'odd man out'........
Had popups/trailers and hung out with Class A's , Class C's
Had British/Japanese bikes and rode with Harleys (or hung around side of road with them while waiting for repairs to them LOL)
Had Pontoon boats and made waves with ski boats/jet skis etc.
Had a big ballon tired cruiser and rode with slick 10 speeds

But have noticed some 'nose up types' in a FEW RV Parks but I just waved anyway.....HaHaHa

Never have Wally Docked.
But just like public bathroom...walk in and pick far right/far left urinal next guy in will stand RIGHT NEXT to you
Go to a afternoon matinee...empty theater. Sit down ANY WHERE and next folksin will sit DIRECTLY in front of you

Go figure!

My opinion for what it's worth I don't care if you have a DP like me or a tent, if your a nice frendly person that's what matters. My take on the Walmart parking is generator noise. Class Cs tend to use outside portable generators that are sometimes noisey. My 2 cents

People are people. There's nice ones all over and, SNOBS all over too. There may be some "snobbish" association with higher end coaches, as in maybe half million dollar coaches and above but, again, it's sometimes a hit or miss. A tiny story. We were camped in Grizzly RV park just outside of West Yellowstone and, while sitting and relaxing by our motor home, we noticed a large string of motorhomes all entering the park at one time.

The all happened to be FORETRAVELs. There were about 15-20 of them or more. They had an escort and guards to actually stop any vehicular traffic inside the park, where they might be heading down to their spots. The wife and I thought, wow, never seen this kind-a thing before.

Later, after all was settled in and down, we were riding our bicycles around the park and came up their "settlement". Some of them were sitting in a ring BSing when we rode by slowly. Since their coaches all looked like they just came out of the factory, I commented on how nice they looked to the general crowd.

NOT ONE OF THEM would acknowledge my comment. Now, I didn't interrupt a presidential debate here, I did not interrupt a critical life saving operation, I simply commented to a group of folks, sitting in circle, that there was/is a nice bunch of coaches. My wife and I did not exist based on the reactions of that crowd.

But, we have encountered many folks in Walmart parking lots. And no, there was no hierarchy as to the order in which Class As or Cs or any other types pulled in for the night. They were mixed all over the place. As the wife and I walked by many of them, each and every person that was out and relaxing was outstandingly friendly and courteous. While we don't make it a habit to use Walmart, we've done it on occasion. There have been Bluebirds, Newells, Jaycos, Winnebagos, Bounders, and all kinds of motor homes and the people seem to be very friendly.

I had the same thing happen at an FMCA rally with the Prevost crowd. Oh well, their loss not mine!

What bothers me about some of these threads is that people assume others are "stuck up" without ever meeting and talking.

I enjoy meeting folks at the walmart. some have very interest stories of where they came from or where they are going. I never see any problems at walmarts except for the inconsiderate generator running all night.

At our first FMCA rally in our new gas class A many years ago a gentleman was being parked next to us by the FMCA parking crew in his new high end DP. He complained, quite loudly, to the parking crew and everyone else how he should be parked with "his" type coaches.

About a month or so later we were parked next to a new Marathon Prevost towing a new Range Rover at an RV park. Their toad cost as much or more as our gas rig. The folks in the Marathon were the nicest, most down to earth people you would ever want to meet. Invited us over to visit and have drinks.

Just as in real life, even with RVer's, some think outside the box, some don't.

This thread brings to mind another recent thread pondering whether an RV'r, stuck in traffic for an extended period, would let a stranger inside to use the restroom. Many responders replied that no way they'd let them in. Seems there's a bunch of snooty Rv'rs everywhere, regardless of what they drive.
