Awning repair

The slide out awnings are torn a little on the edge near the rig. What kind of mending tape is used to fix that?

Ditto on Gorilla tape - my tape repair lasted about 6 months - and then I did it again. You should also take a close look at the 'tear.' Often, the thread on the seam fails. In that case it could be worth taking the cover off and having it resewn by a fabric shop.

I have used sail tape for sailboats. Works great.

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
On a 13 year old rig the thread has probably rotted and needs re-sewn. Even if the fabric has ripped, there is enough unused to take it off and cut off the ripped section and sew the rib back in.

There is an awning repair tape, I would try it over gorilla; my clear gorilla tape on fiberglass experience was disappointing
