Back window mystery

We have a 1987 holiday rambler aluma-lite xl 28ft class a motorhome 7.4 single dual rear axle. My question is. Does anybody know of, or heard of any of these models coming with two back windows? My wife and I search the internet, but cannot find any of these motorhomes, in any year, with two back windows. We can only find them with one larger back window, yet we have owned one with two back windows for two years now. I sure would appreciate some input on this.

Different floor plans typically have different window configurations, sometimes even at the rear windows. I've also seen rear window options in some models or years. NADA shows 3 different 28 footer floor plans (but doesn't show windows).

Is yours two distinct windows or a wide window with a divider in the center? Like this one? https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl...164f80f49b.jpg

I'm curious why this is important to you. Would you do anything different if you happened to have the only two-window 1987 Alumalite in existence?

Gary, it is a one of a kind, the rare model so it is much more valuable when it comes time to collect the insurance check.

At that time Holiday Rambler was a relatively small company that was rather innovative. Sounds like you got one of their innovations, either a custom order or one off by HR. Anything else unique in it? If so it might have been used for advertising, or shows.

Windows are pretty simple to install. The rear cap was wrecked, the new one had no window cut out and 2 smaller ones were installed.

I had an Airstream motor home, they have 3 back windows. I don't like windows in the bedroom so I took them out and covered the openings with aluminum. A good fiberglass guy could do the same in reverse, cover the opening and make 2 new ones.

You've got something unique, hard telling how it came to be.

It's definitely two windows. Small Windows about 3 ft apart or so, and it's not really important. We were just trying to find our motorhome online and notice that we couldn't find any like ours. I don't know what you mean by doing something different. Do you mean if I would buy it or not?

Good luck with that story if there is a total loss on a 35 year old coach. Unless of course he has agreed-value coverage, in which case the rarity (or not) is academic.

Any ideas on how to collect that insurance check? I'm definitely open for suggestions.
