If you have a backup camera setup you will see camera mounted at rear of coach and a monitor on your dash or under TV area. When you pulled out old TV that coax cable would plug into new TV coming from your selector box. Backup and TV are seperate from one another. You should have a on-off button on the backup monitor, if you have that option, with the engine running it should come on and give you a picture on monitor when you put coach in reverse or traveling down the road. Your back up camera plays thru the TV.

Turn the inverter on so the TV will turn on.

The old TV had a button on the front marked TV/VIDEO. Push the video button. The camera input goes to the video input on the back of the TV. When the back up camera is off, TV is on, and in video mode you will get a blue screen. Turn on camara and you see what is behind you.

Over the bed, in the overhead cabnets, is a pannel held in with 4 screws. It gives you access to the camera and so you can clean the plastic window the camera looks thru.

The back up camera switch is on the area behind the Allison Trans push pad.

There are three switches there. The one closest to the wall is the flash marker lights, the middle switch is the back up camera switch and the switch closest to you is the Pac Brake switch.

OK

One last note, I do not know for sure, but I think the yoke connections are reversed in the original TV. So the picture is correct IE:what you see on the right side of the screen is on the right of the coach.

Bill,

Anouther option you can use is to go to Radio Shack or some simular place and buy a 5" black and white TV that works off of 12vdc and hook the camera up to it. The camera in your coach is black and white.

Or, look on the web and find a color security camera and get a 5" LCD flat pannel and build yourself a sharp color back up system, so you do not have to run the inverter to use the back up camera.

Remember that one of the units must have reverse image capabilities so the right side is really the right side.

If not, the tree image on the screen will show on the right but the tree is really on the left of the coach.

First point,
You do NOT have to belong to FMCA to get on the Safari Owners Forum. Just sign in. It is a Yahooo chat room...

Second point,
I know nothing about what is involved in getting a replacement TV to work. I only know how mine works. You might want to consider the idea of a small LCD monitor that has reverse image capabilities. I am going to do that on mine, so I do not have to run the inverter just use the back up camera.
