bad gas?

What to do about bad gas? I think I got about 4 gallons of bad gas in my tank. my RV was running fine until I got the gas . I was pretty empty and right after I got the gas my engine started to run rough. I put some dry gas in and drove it about 10 miles, its still running rough. I have gotten a P1300 code and a pending code 1582. I don't know how to proceed. Should I drive it and get rid of the gas? The CEL is not on all the time and it has never flashed. Should I put some seafoam in it?. Should I fill it up with Premium? I'm at a loss as to how to proceed. Thanks
This is in a Rialta with a VW engine. Not my normal Class C . But I figured someone here might be able to give me a suggestion on what to do, Thanks

A VW engine? I didn't know VW made gas engines for class C RV's.

Is it gas or diesel?

OP
Your code 1300 is a low fuel code.
Your code 1582 indicates a dirty throttle body.
You may be able to get her running with a double dose of Seafoam, and a tank of premium gas from another station, but you really should pull the throttle body and clean it correctly. You Tube is your friend here.

You mention only getting 4 gallons and a almost empty tank. I would be more concerned that the gas wasn't bad and rather you have debris in the bottom of the tank that has been stirred up. Or did you stop at 4 gallons because you knew it was bad gas?

Depending on the size of the tank you might be able to dilute the 4 gallons of bad by topping off the tank with good and and a fuel injector cleaner or seafoam.

Seafoam is good gas conditioner carb cleaner not great injector cleaner, ones with PAE are better . Yes more gas should help. Could be a coincidence right after gas. Find and change fuel filter. Youll most likely need a line wrench and penetrating oil if it's an inline filter.

I have been the victim of bad gas and there isn't many options other than filling the tank with good fuel and driving it. Eventually it will get better.

The likely "bad gas" is crud in the tank, either yours or the fuel stations, so diluting it doesn't help much. Water, dirt, oily residue, etc. Changing fuel filters is the best hope, I think, and then driving awhile and changing again. An water-collection additive might help too, and it's an easy add.

Years back son borrowed push mower, bought new gas can and bought a gallon of gas, brought mower back saying not running right. Found water in new gas, drained off water, and he went and cut his yard.... it happens... Neighbor had old gas that would NOT run engine, even after water removed.

Problem solved.
Frist I put seafoam in tank, and added 5 gallons of premium gas.
This didn't help

I then changed the fuel filter, and that solved the problem
thanks for all the help

Congratulations on running down the problem .

My experience with bad fuel filters is there is usually a reason they plugged up .

You might pick up 1or 2 extra filters just in case the problem reoccurs .
