Well this is a much discussed topic on many forums. You'll hear from some that do and some that don't but in the end it's whether you looking for a piece of mind or can stand the unexpected. There not cheap but neither is owning a Motorhome or any other RV. I've bought them on my Class A's especially my last 2 because they've been used and you never can tell what the previous owner did for maintenance and care of it until after you've owned and used it a bit. I've done very thorough PDI's when I pick up my MHs but found out a month or two later there's issues. I can honestly say I was glad so far I've had an Extended Service Plan. They've been very good and it has cost me very little out of the pocket to have repairs. Top cost so far was about $3,000 last year when my Levelers failed, cost to me the $100 deductible plus taxes... I've never had a problem getting quick approval with the Company I've had on my last 2 coaches. In fact I'm waiting now for approval to fix my awning. I've searched many Plans each time I've bought another MH and the pricing on some of these plans are enticing but I've done my homework and like noted some will refuse anything that comes their way and you have to fight them to get anything covered but not the one I have now. Remember it's best to buy an exclusionary contract so you know what is not covered rather than depending on a non-exclusionary one that will find things that they won't covered. Remember that with even an Exclusionary one please read the fine print. Most if not all won't cover shipping cost nor taxes as well as Maintenance items like oil, Anti-freeze and these can add up if it's a heavy part or bulky item like a refrigerator.
So IMHO they are worth it but there's many that don't. The question is "do you feel lucky"
