BigFoot Quadra pump rebuild
Have a BigFoot system on our coach with 4 pumps, one at each corner next to the cylinder.
One of the pumps (pass rear), the bottom is wet and since we got the coach last year, the pat jack has always been problematic. Yesterday I pumped about a pint and a half of fluid into it.
It looks like the leakage is coming from the pump, not the hoses (although after 20 years they probably need to be replaced - Ive already replaced 2 hoses on a different corner).
Anyone rebuild one of these pump/reservoir assemblies or know who BigFoot gets them from? Or capacity specs (flow@pressure - I know this is somewhat dependent on the cylinder)?
Or other thoughts/recommendations?
FWIW - actual rear axle weight is 12,600#s. Rated GAWR is 14,500#.

Thanks 153stars! I had gone down the same path as you laid out - but with the limited info for the pump (short of dropping the leaker out of my coach) shown on the BigFoot site, I was having trouble lining identifying the specific pump used.
I never thought to look at OEMYS site. Good find! Thanks!
FWIW - I keep a tab on his site up in my browser all the time. Makes for quick reference.
I also throw him new info as I discover it.
I wonder if the blow molded fluid reservoir is reservoir provided today. Reservoir on our ‘02 coach is more box like.

I forgot these may have been upgraded over the last 20yrs. So you might want to pop off the cover and snap a pic of your actual pump . If you can't read tag careful not to wipe off #s if it's iffy I get a good pic first. I also am not 100% if the pump tanks on OEM page fit yours with limited info I have to go on.
The tanks in OEM replacement look custom made for the Bigfoot it may need a little extra volume. Your may work if pump has been upgraded The parker complete units might fit could always build or buy a box to fit .

I hear what your saying on wiping off the numbers. I may get out there today to take pictures.
That I can tell, leak isn’t bad - but it’s bad enough that the bottom of the reservoir is wet. And since I have filled or topped it off before in the 15 months that we’ve owned the coach I figure it’s due for some TLC.
Need to check the hoses at the pump too. Been in my plans to replace hoses on all three remaking pumps after having a failure on one pump right after we got the coach. The coach builder trapped the hose between the cylinder and coach frame in such a way that it stressed the hose as it went into the ferrule.
Been digging around on the Parker website trying to correlate the 639721 number seen on the pump pictured on BigFoot’s parts page. So far, no luck - and in fact, I can’t even find a pump assembly p/n similar.
As shown on the exploded view referenced on OEMYS website, there is a “seal kit” indicated on that sheet that I found duplicated on another exploded view for a 108 pump (I think the sheet you referenced on OEMYS website is the 108a version).

Typical for manufacturers to have their own #s only on tags of parts from other manufactures. Especially motors in ACs and furnaces. An old time motor re-builder used to quickly decipher tag info with a shaft measurement and mounting description. Just might have cut tge shaft length.

Being an old HVAC guy (even engineered electronic air cleaners for a company for 7-8 years) Im familiar with what your talking about.
All Ive got to go on at this point is the pictures seen on the BigFoot website.
Thanks!

I wouldn't spend too much time until you see the original. Just to be sure they haven't changed pump in 20yrs, you may still be able to get parts for a discontinued pump especially a shaft seal . If you look close at drawing there's pump assembly and what would need pump seal and seals on two pipets up in the housing body. You might be able to have matched up a bearing /seal supplier.
My local place has helped me over the years to buy improved seals ,bearings and belts over OEM . Before Amazon and EBay they were cheapest place to get high quality belts . If you need on the road belt spares you might want buy them if they carry them instead if showing up for just $8 seal.
A place like mine was a good place to network for small shops that machine work, fabrication , small engine repair ect.

Hey 153stars - finally got under the coach this afternoon and investigated the pump while I was doing other things.
Picture attached that I could get of the Parker numbers. Sadly, it looks like paint or something covers some needed numbers.
But wanted to let you know you were on the right path with your assessment (Reply #2). Ill be back under there tomorrow so will see if I can get a better picture from one of the other pumps.
But Thanks!

Hey 153stars and others -
Got a little better picture of one of my other leveler pumps. Sorry for the bad focus - not any room to back the camera away.
To restate my question - two of my pumps seem to have tank leaks at the pump to tank interface. But if I’m going to take the pumps out to clean up, I would like to know and get a gasket rebuild kit, if they are available. Am having trouble confirming/identifying any kit that may be available.
TIA!

Try to tap screen on phone to cause better focus on tag or play around to see if macro function in camera.

Hey 153stars (and others who may read) - I’m back to my leveler pumps again -
Complete P/N on the pump is 108AMSP32-*L-1VT
E=2500 PSI (probably the up pressure)
R=1000 PSI (and probably the down pressure)
Then there is the number 639721 which I suspect is the manufacturing part number for the assembly,
and then another number 03/02 that looks like a date code (at least that aligns with when our coach was built).
I have found a new set of pictures for the BigFoot pump assembly, attached.
Inputting the 108 number into their Configurator, I’ve been able to work up the following 108
AM - 12vdc Series Wound motor
S - ? (I suspect with the following “P” means “Special”)
P - see “S” above
32 - the .327 CIPR)
* - ?
L - ? I suspect this is for the reservoir (or no reservoir), and BigFoot apparently built their own into the hanger bracket assembly then added the pump.
1 - Vertical mounting
V - ?
T - ?
Your thoughts appreciated in terms of dealing with any leakage. As previously stated, the bottom of two of the pump reservoirs is “wet”, and they have apparently been leaking for a long time. Trying to wipe them clean, I can get the surface wetness off, but underneath there is a more tarry residue like is found on the bottom of an oil or transmission pan or such.
I have more recently had issues with one of the levelers not lifting the coach and slow to return the ram of the leveler. I did leave the ram down for several days, ran it back up - then checked the fluid level. Fluid was about 1/2” from the top, so good there.
Did not get a chance to try lifting the coach.
We’re headed out for about 2 weeks and will be stopping at 2-3 locations will get a chance to test it then.
I have also heard that it is possible any leak may be being caused at where the pump and reservoir are assembled. Recommended solution was to clean well and put a bead of RTV silicone around the pump base (I’m wary of that as a solution and am more inclined to disassemble, clean, and either make a fiber gasket, look at using a large diameter thin o-ring, or putting down a thin bead of RTV down, allow it to sit I assembled for 30-45 minutes, then reassemble).
That won’t fix my ram lift/return issues, but will hopefully reduce the spotting on the concrete the coach sits on.
Any thought would be appreciated!

Wow blast from the past. Thoughts are silicone O rings between tank and pump they don't remain distorted or have better memory/more springy. Are you spraying rams with WD-40 or silicon before retracting.
