BIRD on Thor Tuscany XTE 2016

I'm noticing that the BIRD on my Thor Tuscany XTE is the "gas" model...I think it's the Intellitec 362-0100. My Tuscany is not a gas model...it's a diesel. It looks like the Intellitec "diesel" BIRD has a connection for my genset (Onan generator). Should I use the "diesel" BIRD vs. the "gas" BIRD that I have now? Just wondering....

Most MHs builders don't wire the generator signal anyway.

It's only an issue if your dashboard charge light comes on while both systems are charging.
