Body found in rented rv
I saw this in the New York Post. Imagine renting an rv and opening up a compartment, ent and finding a decomposing body? Don't the owners check all compartments? Or even during the checkout open the compartments to verify that everything is clean?

Would certainly change the whole mood of a party. Does not say how the body got there. RV owner said the front cabinets don't work? Sounds like he knew more than letting on.

The owner said the compartment doors didn't work. Perhaps body was stashed after it had been cleaned and inspected from previous rental return. I've found dead bugs on the dashboard of car rentals that were otherwise spotless, bugs entered during cleaning and died.
I'm a little surprised by 12 people in a Class C going from Minnesota to the Derby. That's one crowded RV for a 12 hour drive!
Wonder if they'll get their deposit back?

The other key to the story was the foul order. I must assume that the are adults and at least have a nose. But to drive down the road with a smell like that. OMG

So, a meth addict in trouble with the law. Methinks he was looking for a place to hide, climbed into the compartment not realizing it couldn't be opened from inside, and just died. Still, one would think the rental company would check before renting the unit out.
Many years back I was a rental equipment technician for a local U-Haul, and myself and another employee went to the regional HQ for training. We stayed overnight in a Southwind RV on the back lot. We had to roust a bum out of it first! Seems they had a real problem with bums seeking shelter in them.
