Carefree Anwing

When I let it out it moves very slow and when you let it in have to play with it by pushing the in and out switch a few times to get it to retract
Is the motor going bad or what do I need to look for
Any help would be appreciated

I'd look for binding and points that could be building up friction. Lubricate any binding points and see if the awning improves in speed.

What Carefree model? That's not unusual for the Eclipse model because the motor is barely adequate for the longer sizes. Even slightly low voltage makes it very slow or sometime difficult to get it started moving. Typically it is not the motor if it works at all, so I would be checking the wiring at both the switch and the motor end. There are quick-connects at the motor end than can get a bit corroded and cause a voltage drop, enough to cause this sort of problem. Loose wires at the switch are a possibility too.
