Carefree Vacation R Room.

Hi Folks,

I recently purchased a Carefree of Colorado Screen room (219800) for my awning and I am having issues with trying to seal it to the motorhome. I have followed all the instruction to the letter and I still find that there are major gaps where the room is to attach the coach wall.

I was wondering if anybody has any idea's or modifications to correct this? It appears that the Velcro patch's that attach to the wall strap just do not seal the room well at all.

I am sorry I don't have any photos to show you but unless I find some mod or fix I am currently trying to sell the room after one attempt at using it and I don't want to pull it out of the bag unless I have possible solution.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Much

Really strong rare earth magnets. Just be careful because they can pinch your fingers or skin really bad if they come into contact with each other unexpectedly.

I have seen them used on a 5er with a Dometic screen room and awning to get the last gaps to seal without having to attach any permanent hardware or adhere velcro to the walls.

One inside, and one outside.

Wow thanks. That sounds like a great idea I will look to see what I can find.

Thanks Much

They make an arm that attaches to the top bracket on the side of the RV and then another bracket installed at the body moulding, I think it's called a smooth side bracket, works pretty good

Thanks so much for the info. Would you or any member know where these arms can be purchased? I don't think the magnet theory will work as the upper side of the coach is fiberglass and not metal.

Again, Thanks

Sorry, had to go look, mine is an A&E, not Carefree, but any way, I got mine as accessories with the screen room, now I don't see them listed by either manufacturer, so I would contact them and ask?
