Changing the Height of my Auto Leveling Jacks

Hey all my first motorhome and my first post.

I got a 2020 25' Sunseerker C Class.
It has a Lippert auto leveling system.

With the leveling jacks the height they are, its like brain surgery getting it in and out of my driveway with its odd steep incline. It can be done but I need my wife outside the RV directing things.

A whole lot of trouble would be solved if I could adjust the jacks up one hole. The jacks are mounted on what appears to be an adjustable height system with 4 bolts and several holes. It looks like I could easily raise it up at least one hole.

My questions is if this is advisable and if it will throw off my auto leveling.
Side note from what I have read I wouldnt mind getting a level and just pushing buttons until it is level if it was needed. (i.e. manually not auto).

Thanks and I look forward to helping out here when I can.

I am not familiar with your particular leveling system but I would steer away from changing the mounting location position. The RV manufacture knows a bit more about the system than you or I.

Use blocks under the jacks. Will protect the driveway and give you more extension for an off level spot. Ensure the RV won't slide off the pads. Not sure just how off level your parking spot is. Don't use slippery blocks (pressure treat is very slippery).

Most all leveling systems have a manual mode. Have you found the operation manual?

If it is physically do able the moving the jacks up a hole for more clearance will not affect the operation of the system except the jacks won't be able to raise the coach as far as before. That would only be a problem on extremely out of level sights. The system does not know or sense the position of the jacks, only the levelness of the coach.

I would call Lippert and ask them.

Move them up a hole and see what happens. The jacks don't care. Make Sure you get the bolts tightened properly.

Worst case, you will need some blocks under them at some camp sites

Raising them up 1 hole shouldn't be an issue, Better than tearing a jack off coming up the driveway The auto leveling should still work as before but if not, the auto level is fairly easy to reset.

Also, if it's only the two rear jacks that are your problem (just guessing here), then only do those two. You'll need blocks as others have stated, but better to leave the front ones undisturbed if you can, I would think. That would also allow you to minimize the number of blocks you might require to make up for the lesser total extension with the rear jacks bolted higher on the frame.

Agree totally with chuckftboy. Changing the mounting hole is not an issue, though obviously it will alter the total range of height the jack can handle. After you change it, re-establish the level state that is recognized by the jack controller. There should be instructions for that in the jack manual.
