Check in and Atwood level legs

Greetings all. Not new to the site but new to the group I will be chatting with. While I had my class C Jayco I received a lot of useful info in the forums. It was a later model and was still spending a lot of time addressing issues so I figured I would sell it and buy an older bigger rig that I can fix all the time. So I brought home a 2006 Tiffin Phaeton that was in pretty good shape and as I read the history of the Atwood Level legs system it comes at no surprise that is doesn’t work. I can’t get it to power up. I have 12v at the red wire on the drivers switch panel and gave power at the controller.
It appears a prior owner has been dealing with this system before. Found notes and also in the controller there is a piece of tape with “Tiffin 1/19/22” on it. Looking at the controller nothing is burned and it does not have on board fuses do it may be an upgrade. Through forums I see that everything is obsolete. Also see there is an outfit that will repair boards. I see there is a manual remote control unit I could adapt in. I see some have negotiated installation of a Lippert system to be installed at a reasonable cost.
If anyone has an idea why it isn’t powering up or good suggestions on replacing the system I would appreciate any and all responses.
Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

I don't have any personal experience with Atwood Levelegs. However, I have observed and casually keep track of others complaining about the system.

It sounds like you've done a lot of research already so what I'm offering may be familiar to you so you can disregard. Hopefully others here on the forum who have had personal experience with the system can chime in and give you constructive guidance.

First --again you most likely already have this-- is the specific troubleshooting guide posted on the TiffinRVNetwork site:

Atwood Levelegs System

And have you already contacted Control Systems Labs? I've heard they were able to diagnose a lot of control board problems for others especially on the Atwood products. In video #2 and #3 below will give you more input on Control Systems Labs.

Take a look at this guy's videos (2lotony aka Fisty's Garage and even though he has a Fleetwood RV) ...it might not be the exact problem you're having but could give you a few pointers:

Atwood levelegs not responding. Help! (Update Links In Description)

Atwood levelegs Not Responding. Update #1

Atwood levelegs Update #2 Problem fixed??

And as you suspect, there are a LOT of others having problems with Levelegs so we can probably dig up more videos, articles, and posts from this and other RV forums as it pertains to procedure to try or suggestions to replace, etc. if nobody else here on the forum has other suggestions.

Thanks. I did find that option and I am considering it after I verify all the jacks work. I’ll check out the videos.

If not in links shared I remember poster made his own manual control board with double throw momentary switches cold of been any brand really.
I only manually level with my RVA system
Then I know front jack is planted and doesn't lift any too high or go haywire and twist out windshield.

My plan exactly. Already figured out my components to build a plug in manual control for use or backup. Do you know if the air valve uses 12v on a momentary type of signal? I figured I would include a switch for that. First experience with those and not much info on them I have found yet. Near as I can tell there isn’t a secondary switch for the valve.
