Class H motorhome
Anyone ever heard of a class H motorhome? Apparently Winnebago built one. Stumbled on this in my Youtube recommended videos.

I saw this mentioned not too long ago on here. Don't think this is the same thread but here's a short one from 2011.

LOL! The RVIA would still consider it to be a Class B, a standard chassis & body modified for use as an RV. The "standard" just happens to be a helicopter instead of a van.

Can't imagine this could be a very big seller. Consider the cost of the original unit, then the cost of the conversion which would have a very small living space, and create quite stir at the dump station, not to mention the time and expense of a license to operate.
Definitely a unit for those that have the financial means to be able to say, "look at what I have that you don't".

Drones are already prohibited from flying in most parks,, can't imagine the Heli-Home being allowed.

Just because you can build something...doesn't mean you should.

If I owned a helicopter RV, going to a campground would never enter my mind.

Yes, I think the approach would be the same as the guys flying STOL. Fly into some very remote area, camp for a few days and go home. Apparently Winnie did sell one unit and that is how the guy used it. Now-a-days, those remote areas are becoming few and far between.

If you think people complain now about campers arriving late or leaving early. What about the tent campers?

Well " There's that " .
One would have to wonder if the floats were standard or on option ?
Oars optional equipment ?
Outboard ?
The list goes on .
Drifting , onshore and having a rotor bent against a tree ; Would Good Sam Towing get involved with the recovery ?
Inquiring minds need to know !!

How about idling for extended periods of time before takeoff?
