cleaning ceiling

I have a 92 monteray cobra. I need to clean the ceiling. It has nicotine on it. It is some kind of foam covered leatherette material with a zillion little holes in it. What is the best cleaner to use on it as it is in perfect shape and I don't want to mess up the glue. I hope some one has had success cleaning theirs.
Thanks.

Pat: there are many "how to clean headliner" web pages to look over. For a vinyl headliner I might choose RESOLVE. the trick in any headliner situation.....do not soak material or glue will loosen. So damp cloth....spray on a lite amount of Resolve...do a test area. Go to town and finish job.
In my case....both cigarette and water stains on a carpet headliner. I cleaned as I have prescribed....and am literally painting the really bad areas. You can actually paint carpet and I have selected a complementary color and am taping off the areas so as to make a nice pattern.....then roller and paint.
