Cleaning New to Me TT

I have to ask, how do you go about cleaning a new to you pre-owned travel trailer?

I know this may be a difficult topic but bed bugs and other nasty things may be lurking so how do/would you clean up before you sleep in a new TT?

I'm thinking the basic clean everything you can see, pinesol or something similar, floors, walls etc. but bedding and sleep sofas are a different story.

Before buying our trailer I looked for evidence of bedbugs. Since I saw nothing I put it past me and bought the trailer. When I got it home we simply cleaned the cupboards and everything else the same way we keep our home clean.

Before you load it with food and gear, toss in an insect fogger and wait a day. Not much going to live through that. Then clean everything as you would a home.

X2. Maybe Lysol, or other disinfectant, the bed frame/support before replacing it? Beyond that, as others have said.

We started with all new linen, towels, and bathcloths, obviously.Wiped down all hard surfaces with Lysol, even inside of refrigerator, cleaned inside of cabinets and sprayed.New shelf paper in cabinets, vacuumed carpet, cleaned windows with windex.Flushed out both tanks and added Happy Campers, then washed and waxed outside.A lot of work but you will feel a lot better knowing everything is sanitary.

In addition to the previously mentioned, I took wood soap to everything wooden and followed up with linseed oil or wax as appropriate.

Just FYI normal cleaning products and bug bombs do not take care of bed bugs if there is true cause to believe they are there.

There are special cleaners that you need to use.
