Cleaning roof top AC filters??

I tried a search but got nothing relevant. We're in dusty AZ. I cleaned the filters in the ceiling and based on how dirty they were, I need to clean air filters on the room. I'm assuming there are filters on the roof top Dometics. I don't have manuals. Anybody?

I don't think there are filters on the outside units. It would be a maintenance issue. You can go on top and flush the coils off with water.

No outside filters, but if you pull the covers off, spend the time to add aluminum screen door screening to inside of the covers to keep mud dobbers from moving in.....they really like the fans

There are no outside filters, and no exchange of outdoor air with the interior. It just blows cooling air through the exterior fins.

No filters at all. Thanks All.

I spent a couple of hours removing the covers and then blowing out the coils. Boy were they full of dirt. They should be a bit more efficient now.

I wonder if I could install better air filter material on the air intake vents without severely degrading the AC's efficiency?
Any thoughts?

As Gary said there is no contact between the cooling air from your vents and the outside air. The air is pulled through your return air vent, passes through the cooling coils and then comes out of your cooling vents. Any dust on the filters is coming from inside your RV. While a different filter material may help it is not going to eliminate the issue. The best thing is to increase the frequency that you clean the filters. You may have to go to a weekly schedule.
