Condensation prevention
Any suggestion on storing my motorhome over the winter
1. full tank plus fuel stabilizer?
2. full tank with no stabilizer?
3. Any level but with stabilizer
4. Any level with no stabilizer
It is a gas, workhorse engine, fuel tank 75 us gallons.
First year staying home this coming winter instead of heading south. We have always spent the winters in Arizona so condensation in the fuel tank was not a problem compared to our home on the BC Coast. We get similar weather as Seattle, WA. so lots of rain.

full tank with startron stabilizer.
Been doing it for years and hasn't let me down yet.
Your mileage may vary but it's my experience and I'm ok with the results.

Over the winter season, I always stored my Bounder with a full tank of gas with StaBil in it. Ran the treated fuel through the generator to protect it as well. Both started up in the spring with no issues.

I have always filled the tank on the gas models that I have owned in the past. I used 3 cans of Sea Foam for 75 gals and filled the last tank with premium no ethanol gas. Motorhoming for 33 years no fuel related problems.
Now I use Power Service products for my diesel pusher.

A 2007 has emissions controls that dramatically limit air exchange. Your gas is probably 10% ethanol, right? Store it as empty as you want, there is extremely little danger of water causing issues over the winter. In the range of lightning strikes, flood damage, tree falling on it, or mice chewing holes in the tank.

Full tank with STA-BIL in the appropriate ratio.

ethanol eats aluminum, best to treat the gas to help prevent corrosion.

Maybe, if it was a 1974. A 2007 should have no problem with ethanol and a small amount of water.

My owner's manual (Ford) recommends storing with a full tank of "high-quality fuel." It doesn't say anything about stabilizer but I usually add it if the storage period will be longer than 90 days.

SafariBen. Yes, my 2007 Workhorse does have a lot of emission controls and the gas has 10% ethanol content. I fueled up once at a discount service station and 5 minutes later, while driving on the freeway, the engine light came on steady. The Workhorse manual stated it could be emission related but was safe to continue driving. It took another full tank before the light went out on its own. I have avoided using that brand of fuel ever since.
Thanks to all for your feedback. I will probably go with a half tank with stabilizer, but nice to know the options. We will miss all our American friends made during 17 years of snowbird trips mostly to Arizona but also all around the USA and Canada. We hope to continue shorter trips south (max 40 days) for awhile yet.
