Confused mind

So this receptacle resides on the passenger side at the foot of the dash. The PO has wired a battery tender, mounted in the engine bay, (always on when on shore power) for maintaining the chassis battery. I guess that isn’t a bad idea, I just have never seen it. Also what plugs into the round socket on bottom right?Click image for larger version

Note also; the cord is hard wired to the rear of this receptacle and plugs into the battery tender under the hood.

That's a homemade job if ever I saw it! The hole could have been drilled into the plastic to feed coax or other wires through. I doubt it's a receptacle though.

Is that to charge the chassis or coach batteries? Plug a tender into the AC and a cig cord into the lighter socket would do it if the coach had no combiner

Thanks, I should have looked when I had it removed. I was just following the battery tender to see where it went… ended up here. It charges the chassis battery. The 12v is standard and the little circle hole I believe is just a wire-way to pass a wire.

In our 08 Crescendo there is a telephone jack in the lower hole. I plug my battery tender into the receptacle that my central vac plugs into.

Back in the day some long term parks offered phone service. Our previous 5th also had phone jacks.
How times have changed!
