My wife and I have decided that the journey part of the trip is just as important as the destination. For us this means we won't even consider another PUP, TT or 5'er.

In general many of the luxury DP's fall under cocktails for 6, dinner for 4, sleeps 2. This won't work obviously. There are exceptions.

A class C with slides would fit the bill. We've enjoyed our Class C so much that I've even used it for sight seeing when family or friends are in town. I won't hesitate to drive it downtown. It's 29 foot long and I don't require a Toad. It's easy to tailgate or take to kids ballgames. My grandkids "love" taking the MH anywhere. Sometimes we even take it to the park for a few hours. I'd never do that with a trailer.

I've had a dream of owning a luxury DP for several years now. I may finally get one next year when I retire. I'll look for one that will accommodate my wonderful g-kids if possible. We'll always remember fondly the great times we've had in the old Class C.

I appreciate all the responses. Most of it echos the conversations we are having at home but that's a good thing. It shows there really is a lot of variety to this question. I love the idea of the extra storage, the more enjoyable travel setup, and the ease of campground (or boondocking) in the MH. I am less than pumped for the added bills, lol. That really is the biggest hurdle and it sounds like it could be just as much of a pain (along with downside) as the devil on one shoulder points out when I have this argument with myself. Of course the other shoulder's devil keeps talking about how it is worth it for family time, lol. So I keep swinging back and forth. Thank you for all the input. I haven't come to a conclusion and welcome all added input. It may just take the right unit to blow me away. In the meantime, at least we have the X and TT to get there this weekend.

also, LPerry, normal is boring!
