Creases in Carpet from Slide Out

Has anyone found a way to eliminate the creases that the slide outs can leave in your carpeting when they're retracted? Someone suggested the thin plastic disposable cutting board sheets, but these didn't seem to help much, and they slid around too easily when walking around with the slides in.

The creases or indentations are a result of the weight of the slide. Although I have not made an adjustment on mine, I have been told by an expert that the slide can be adjusted to reduce or eliminate the carper problem. You could look at your slide on the outside and see if some adjustments make a difference. You can always return it to the way it was.
