Creative storage in your motor home
Last year my wife and I bought a 2006 Damon Daybreak class A motorhome. On initial look,it seemed to have plenty of storage both inside and under the unit. But after several trips, I am thinking that our old class C seemed to have at least better access and maybe more storage then the current unit. The old unit had a very large storage compartment under the rear bedroom accessible from three sides for large items. The new one has access from both sides but it is only about three feet wide as opposed the old one that was 5 or 6 ft wide. Also about half of these doors are under the slide outs so the doors don't open as wide. Then several of then are occupied by storage tanks for fresh, black and grey water where those were not in storage bays on the old class A. It seems that if you want full height storage compartments that slide out with the slide out rooms you must buy a diesel rig. I guess I am just ranting here but can anyone point to to some info for making the most of my storage. Are there possibly some roof mounted alternatives or maybe a rear mounted deck of some sort to add storage. Thanks in advance!!!
