I do believe DRL's leads to more insect suicides , judging from the front of my MH.

What I know.. Canada and the US both did studies back in the 80's when DRL's were rare, BOTH confirmed that DRL's reduce accidents. At that time we had a few cars with DRL's and a large "Control group"

Today folks have done more studies. However since in Canada nearly all cars have DRL's (it s the law) the control goup is both much smaller and a lot more careful (Since they are already in violation) In the US DRL's still outnumber the control group by a wide margain.

The result is flawed science.. I trust the first studies, not the more recent ones you cite.

There had to be another reason. Driving habits?

If turning on your DRL's in fog makes it easier to see you, it makes sense that in any other condition, it makes it easier to see you, and them.

Sorry, but I still don't see any logic in not having your lights on.

Just my opinion and that of many others as well as governments and driving organizations.

Hello doesn't make sence to me to turn off a proven safetly added device to help others see you and you seeing them THEY WORK so cost you a few dollars to change out a burnt out bulb then to replace your unit. My nickels worth of advise.
