Unhappy Decals on 2006 motorhome have stains.

Anyone know of a good way to clean and shine the decals on a unit?

Replace them or paint them on.

They are vinyl stickers. Once they get UV damage and stains they can't be restored.

Try some 303 on them if they aren't too bad. Some will coat over them with floor polish while doing the whole side with good results.

Sorry about that this is all new to me. As I was saying I was told a very fine auto sand paper when wet would work if very lightly applied. Then a good polish would make it shine again.

Thanks for your input. I will try the 303.

Oh, no problem. And welcome to the forum! I just saw that this is your first post.

Yeah, vinyl material, once the surface layer starts to decompose or deteriorate, cannot be restored.

Part of my business is bus and car vinyl wraps. The high-end 'cast-coat' vinyl with overlaminate has a 5 year outdoor guarantee. I'm not sure the motorhome makers are even using 5 year vinyl for letters and graphics. Some of my emblems went south in under 5 years. At ten years now I'm looking at painting some on or having some new ones made.

For a winnebago product you can still buy original stickers but they're stupid expensive. Better to have a sign maker or bus wrap company make new ones. Even better, paint them on.

Some local sign/graphic shops will also make new decals for you. Depends on the design.
