DEF

Is one brand of DEF better than the other such as Auto Zone, Advance Auto or Blue DEF. Blue DEF is more costly than store brands, but is it really better quality? Is all DEF made to a spec?

ALL DEF is made to the same specifications, so one brand is no better than the next no matter what the advertising hype says.

DEF is nothing more than distilled water and some urea, made to a specific spec. All DEF is supposed to be the same. So just use what ever you can get cheap.

Typically get mine at the truck stops. I figure itís fresher there since more is used by the trucks.

We get ours at Wal-Mart. Cheaper than most places.

DEF is made from deionized water rather than distilled. . But yes, as long as the DEF meets ISO 22241 it’s all the same stuff.
